How is it bad for cars to be driven in the rain?
Whenever you read a car sale ad, people will always emphasize when their car has "never been driven in the rain" or "driven in the rain only twice", why is it that they make such a big deal out of it? What's the difference between a 15 year old car that has been driven in the rain regularly as opposed to a car that has never been driven in rainy conditions? How could it possibly be bad for the brakes??

- well its bad for brakes
- When people say that there car has never been driven in the rain that usually means that the car has not been exposed to any kind of bad weather. And just like anything else the finish on the car will worsen the more it is exposed to the elements. If the car has never been wet then I most likely has no rust whatsoever anywhere on it. I don't know what that first gut is talking about with the brakes.
- haha i have never seen that advertised, agree with the second bloke though as it sounds like a good call, clearly my cars brakes will be stuffed as i have driven in the rain! hahaha.
