Old Cars For Sale

Buying a new car, have a private buyer for old car, can the dealership facilitate this transaction?

If I have a pre-arranged private buyer (in-laws) for my vehicle, and I go to a dealership to buy a new vehicle, can the dealer facilitate the transaction so that the sale price of my old vehicle lowers the taxes on my new vehicle? The dealer in turn would benefit from charging a fee to process the paperwork (in Texas)

  1. No thats fraud. they (the dealer) would have to buy the car and then sell it to your inlaws...
  2. Nope.... Unless you SELL to dealer, it can't help you at all. Dealer won't benefit, that ain't never gonna happen. They MUST benefit or they won't work w/you .... really.
