Where would I find old cars to restore?
I'm looking to do a project with my dad. We both love cars from his youth; 1960 - 1970 hot rods. He personally has a 1969 Corvette and a 1968 Charger but we don't have access to them at the moment and we are looking to find a old car from that time and that type of car that needs to be completely restored. We are talking the whole thing! Needs new engine, new body, almost all new parts, new interior. We want to fix this car from the ground up. So if anyone knows a site or a place I could call that has classic cars in this condition for sale I would appreciate it. I once found a site that sold cars, I think it was in Kentucky but I can't find the website anymore.

- Are you in the USA? just buy a monthly issue of HEMMINGS NEWS and see cars from all over the USA. Or read it online.... http://www.hemmings.com/ DON'T buy a car that is too far gone. The body work is the most expensive part.
- Ebay has a category for parts cars, some would be good projects....also check out the regular classics..
- Well alot of the good salvage yards left dont have internet so I would go online and search your state for salvage yards and make some calls and see what they got. I live in the midwest and people here dont believe in throwing stuff away so theres alot of salvage yards that have been around for 50+ years and they dont have internet sites. If you do want a project you have to set a budget of how much you can spend then finding a car that will fit that price like a complete 69 Charger can run 3+ grand where as a 67 Dodge Monaco 500 in same condition would run ya around 1 grand.
